Extra High Voltage Engineering Consultancy Services

Design and Engineering of EHV or HV or MV Electrical substation for large Data centers.

Data centers are electrical power hungry systems. It draws large amount of power from the Transmission grid or other power generating source. After receiving the power from the Grid, it is stepped down to MV level at the main Receiving Substation for further distribution at the Data center. The substation can be outdoor Switchyard or Indoor GIS type. The substation design and equipment ratings must meet the power supply contingency situations such as deciding feeder capacity on the basis of contingent power flow during failure of another feeder to enable the Data center to run uninterrupted.

Since Data centers use large amount of electronic switching circuits, it necessiates the application of Harmonic suppression circuits and studies are conducted to bar flow of pollutions to the Grid.
