Rajasthan - 220 KV Switchyard Structure & Foundation Design - 400 MW Solar Power Plant of Brooksfield, Barmer (Job entrusted by Sterling and Wilson) (Photo is from a similar project)

Scope of Work :

a) Preparation of civil and structural engineering drawings, calculation and documentation as per regulations (Indian Standards / equivalent international codes) with respect to design guidelines, installation, safety and operational measures.

b) Preparation of Detailed Design Basis Report (DBR) for the civil and structural design works.

c) Estimation of loads on gantry beams, towers, equipment supporting structures including conductor tension under normal and short circuit condition, wind loads, and other relevant loads.

d) Preparation and submission of design calculations along with STAAD model for validating/updating the standard switchyard towers and girders drawings keeping the same geometry.

e) Preparation and submission of design calculations along with STAAD model of equipment supporting structures for switchyard equipment’s as per input received from SWSL.

f) Preparation of GA drawings of lattice towers and beams, equipment supporting pipe structures.

g) Preparation of Design calculations for foundations of all types of towers and equipment supporting structures. Geotechnical report shall be provided.

h) Preparation of foundation layout plan including coordinates of each and every foundations plan.

i) Resolution of customer comments on the submitted designs. In case required, meetings shall be attended either in person or through MS Team.

j) Provide detailed BOQ for foundations including anchor bolts.

k) OPTIONAL SCOPE :

i. Sag & Tension calculation to decide the Conductor tension under normal condition.

ii. Short circuit force calculation of overhead strung bus to decide conductor tension under short circuit condition.

iii. Short circuit force calculation of Rigid Al Tubular pipe conductor to decide mechanical force acting on the Structure under short circuit condition.
