West Bengal - Design & Engineering Services including Supervision of Civil work, Erection, Testing and Commissioning of the 400/132/33kV Step-Down Substation within RMIPL's premises in Kharagpur (Photo is indicative)

Scope of Work :

1. Site visit to assess the conditions at the substation plot.

2. Preparation of Project BOQ, Budget and Schedule.

3. Submission of Key SLD, Substation layout plan and elevation.

4. Submission of Electrical layout plan and elevation of the ECR & SPR.

5. Submission of Technical specs of electrical equipment like 400kV and 132kV Switchyard equipment, Transformers, Conductors/clamps & connectors/hardware, Insulators, Substation automation system, 33kV Outdoor equipment, Control & Relay panels, Battery and battery chargers, LV AC & DC DBs, Lighting and small power system, Power and control cables, Cable termination kits, Fire detection and alarm system, Firefighting equipment, Fire extinguishers, HVAC and CCTV equipment etc.

6. Submission of detail engineering drawings and design calculations like, but not limited to :

6.1 Protection and metering SLD of the 400/132/33kV Substation.

6.2 SLD of LV AC & DC DBs.

6.3 Erection key diagram – Plan & Elevation and BOM.

6.4 Clearance diagram of 400kV Switchyard.

6.5 Earthing layout, BOM and Earthing calculation.

6.6 Direct stroke lightning protection layout, BOM and DSLP calculation.

6.7 Outdoor cable trench layout, trench sectional details and BOM.

6.8 Indoor cable trench layout of ECR & SPR, trench sectional details and BOM.

6.9 Indoor and outdoor illumination layout, SLD, BOM and Lighting calculation by Dialux.

6.10 Battery ad battery charger sizing calculation.

6.11 Sag & Tension calculation.

6.12 Short circuit force calculation for overhead strung bus and rigid tubular bus.

6.13 33kV Power cable sizing calculation.

6.14 Power and Control cable schedule and Interconnection diagram.

6.15 Overhead conductor and AL Tube bus sizing calculation.

6.16 Load flow study by ETAP upto 33kV level of RML-4.

6.17 Short circuit study by ETAP upto 33kV level of RML-4.

6.18 Load flow and short circuit study shall consider the power and fault contribution of RML-1, 2, 3 & 5 units while deciding the rating and size of the 132kV common bus.

6.19 Protection coordination study and relay setting calculations for 400kV, 132kV and 33kV system of the new substation.

6.20 Fabrication and shop drawings of 400kV and 132kV gantry towers, beams and equipment support structures. All Equipment support structures shall be pipe type as per PGCIL standard.

6.21 Architectural layout plan & elevation of the ECR & SPR.

6.22 Geotechnical investigation test layout plan showing the test points.

6.23 Civil drawings of all Switchyard equipment foundations, cable trenches, internal road, pathways, surface drainage, Transformer oil pits, Burnt oil tank, sump pit for drainage, culvert for cable crossing of road by cable trenches, Switchyard fence and gate.

6.24 Civil drawing of foundation, column, beams slabs of ECR & SPR.

6.25 Fire detection and alarm system layout with BOM for the ECR & SPR.

6.26 Substation Automation system block diagram.

6.27 SAS I/O list.

6.28 Air conditioning and ventilation system layout and BOM for the ECR & SPR.

6.29 Fire protection system layout and BOQ.

7. Contour survey of the substation plot and submission of survey drawing.

8. Bid evaluation of offers and submission of recommendation reports.

9. Providing clarification to bidders.

10. Vendor drawing review and approval.

11. Deputation of engineer at site for supervision of civil work, electromechanical erection, testing and commissioning.

12. Submission of As built drawings.

13. Inspection of Equipment at manufacturer’s works.

14. Assistance for coordination with PGCIL.
