USA - Design & Engineering services for the 138/13.8kV AIS substation with 5 x 90MVA Transformers for 300MW Data Center at West Texas (Job entrusted by Hypertec Construction Inc., Canada)
Scope of Work :
The scope of work shall include basic and detailed design and engineering services for electrical, civil, structural and substation automation of the 138/13.8kV, 5 x 90MVA AIS substation in West Texas, USA for 300MW Data Center. Our services shall include procurement support (Preparation of Technical specs, Bid evaluation and Vendor drawing review), shop drawings and IFCs for the following works of the Substation :
- 138kV Switchyard having one Incomer and 5 nos. outgoing bays. The Switchyard shall have single 138kV bus.
- 4 x 90MVA Power Transformers with RTCC, Nitrogen injection fire protection system (NIFPS) and online gas analyser + 1 x 90MVA stand-by transformer.
- 5 nos. 13.8kV Outdoor Metal clad Switchgear.
- 2 x 13.8/480V Earthing Transformers (Hermitically sealed type).
- 3 nos. 13.8kV Earthing reactors.
- Control and Relay panels for the 138kV Switchyard.
- 480V AC DBs, 125V DC and 48V DC DBs and downstream power supply to various auxiliaries and Lighting / small power.
- 125V Battery and Battery charger for 138kV system.
- 125V Battery and Battery charger for 13.8kV system,
- 48V Battery and Battery chargers for communication system.
- Substation automation system (SAS).
- Steel structural works for the Outdoor switchyard.
- Civil works for the Switchyard Towers, Equipment supports, Power Transformers, Earthing transformers, Earthing reactors, Outdoor cable trenches, Roads, Control building and Security gate house.
- Heating, ventilation and air conditioning system of the Control building.
- Sanitary, plumbing and water supply system.
- Fire detection and alarm system (FDA) for the control building.
- Nitrogen Injection Fire fighting system (NIFPS) for the Power Transformers.
- Portable extinguishers in Control room.
- Misc. EHV, MV, LV and Instrument cabling.
- Cabling related to SCADA system.
- Emergency DG set for power supply to essential loads if normal power supply fails.
Designs shall comply with American standards and IEC, Eurocode as applicable.
